Crew aboard ring netter 'Golden Effort', LH29, Fisherrow, Musselburgh, c.1930s.

The crew is ‘redding’ – clearing – the net by hauling it forward over a roller.
The brailing pole lashed to the main mast indicates that she was ring-netting.

She was built by W. Weatherhead, Cockenzie, in 1930, for J. Fairnie, Fisherrow.
