Description

Boats in Ayr Harbour, 1960s. On right GN trawlers which used to fish Rockall in the summer and land at Ayr. Local boats include 'Excelsior' (seiner); 'Pathfinder' BA82; 'Terra Nova' BA112 (in row behind); 'Watchful' BA124 (centre), a ringnetter which was later sold to Lewis and renamed 'Majestic' SY137. She came back to the Clyde circa 1980 as 'Stella Maris' CN158 (owned by Denis Meenan, Campbeltown).
