Postcard of aerial view of St Monans.
Postcard of aerial view of St Monans showing motor and sailing fifies. Text reads 'St Monans. Photographed from an Aeroplane, Aerial Photos Ltd, Edinburgh. Copyright 373.'

A Fifie being built can be seen in the boatyard at the west end of the harbour. Depending on the date, this boatyard was owned by John Robertson or his son in law, Walter Reekie.

There are herring nets drying on the harbour wall, next to the steam drifter. This image is likely to have been taking in the early 1920s, owing to the absence of council housing which was built in the late 1920s. The green space at the top of image was used for drying nets - you can still see the stakes.
