C.Carruthers received this postcard from a Vera Fairbairn from Dunglass, Cocksburnpath. Her father was a fisherman and estate worker on Dunglass Estate, home of Usher. The address on the back of the postcard was Dunglass Mill and was dated 27th August 1913 and a 1/2 stamp was used.

Vera never spoke the word pig but always spelt it out. Her grandfather was a full time fisherman while her dad fished for crabs on a part time basis.
