North Berwick harbour, c.1979.
North Berwick harbour, September 1979.

The crab fishing boat, 'Nora', LH84, can be seen in the foreground. The brown boat is 'Sula' so named after the Gannet, it was used to take people around Bass Rock.

The crews were from the Marr family, and were related to Bob Marr - once the oldest fisherman in Dunbar. Other famous fishermen of North Berwick were the Millars, who also crewed the North Berwick lifeboats.

Original - C. Carruthers.
