‘Sette Mari’ GG399 was built in Hoylandsbygd, Norway, in 1974 for buyers on Hönö, Sweden. She was the first boat built entirely for purse seine fishing and equipped with shelter decks, RSW tanks, side thrusters, Triplex large power blocks, and a significantly larger wheelhouse than had previously been customary.

When EU herring quota rules changed, ‘Sette Mari’ was sold in April 1977 to Jim Slater, Rosehearty, and registered FR299.

In March 1980 the boat was sold to Walvis Bay Atlantic Harvesters Ltd in Walvis Bay, Namibia. However, following a collision with an underwater object, the boat sank before reaching Walvis Bay.
