'Betty' BA65 (later 'Cossack') refloating out of dry dock. Barton-Upon-Humber, April 1977.
‘Betty’ BA65 was built in 1927 for the Forbes family, Girvan, by W. Weatherhead, Cockenzie. In 1933, the same yard delivered ‘Betty II’ BA246 to the same family, and the first ‘Betty’ was sold to Donald McAnsh, Torrisdale, Kintyre, and registered CN260. When he moved to Rothesay in 1944, he kept the CN registration. She later became Robbie McKellar’s seine-netter ‘Royal Burghs II’ (CN 260), was sold to Skye and became ‘Cossack’ BRD1 and in 1957 was sold to England and became YH61.
