Studio portrait of sisters Preston, Elspeth and Mary Brown by J S Ireland, Shore Street, Anstruther, late 19th century.

Daughters of John Brown, Anstruther. They all lived at 2 Harbourhead, Cellardyke, where their mother Mary Keay, kept a small grocer's shop.

Elspeth Married a Mr Grubb and had a son, Dr Grubb, later of Pittenweem Road Anstruther. Preston was married in America and had no children. Mary remained single.
