‘Stella Maris’ CN158 in the sea-lock at Crinan, her neighbour the ‘Fiona’ CN165 ahead of her, as the fishermen prepare to leave their boats in the Canal for a weekend at home, having been fishing at Canna in the summer of 1964.

The two ‘cooks’ (boys), Norman Thomson and John Reid, are on the starboard side of the ‘Stella’; Jim Meenan is in the wheelhouse; from aft, going forward, Campbell MacBrayne, Davie Paterson, Joe Brown and Duncan Wilkinson, with Alec Brown (left) and Walter Brown on the starboard quarter of the ‘Fiona’.
