Studio portrait of the crew of 'Clemina' CN139, winners of the Campbeltown Regatta, 1904. The trophy can be seen in the foreground. At Campbeltown regatta, in September 1904, competing with eight other skiffs, the ‘Clemina’ won the premier race with a time of 4 hours 4 minutes and 30 seconds, 26 seconds ahead of Peter McMillan’s ‘Sweet Home’ CN674 and 2 minutes 12 seconds ahead of John McKay’s ‘Angelus’ CN8. See Angus Martin’s The Ring-Net Fishermen (p 91) for a full account. Back row, L-R: 'Fighting Mac' McDonald, John McAulay, John Cameron, James Watterson, R. Docherty, and James 'The Hoose' McPherson. The only two men not wearing ganseys are Adam McLeod, a sailmaker and Bob Wylie, a boatbuilder.
