Postcard entitled 'The Harbour, Pittenweem'
Postcard entitled 'The Harbour, Pittenweem'. It is believed this image was taken in the 1930s owing to the style of the boats and the chimney indicating the sawmill was still in operation. To the right, a white phonebox. The building to the left of the chimney is the first council housing in Pittenweem which was built in the 1920s. The streets are remarkably clear of nets and fishing equipment, due to the fact that fishermen had specific storage facilities - now this storage has been sold so fishing equipment can lie in the harbour area.

Two of the boats are 'Ebenezer', ML13, and 'Jeannie', ML153.
