Net-mending on Carradale pier, c 1938. A small ring-netter is moored with her bow to the pier, and, on Shore Road, fishermen’s sheds can be seen and, at extreme right, a net drying on poles. At extreme left, on the shore below the road, are the boilers where nets were barked or tarred for preservation.
