'Ocean Herald' KY39 Off Pittenweem
Wooden seiner trawler 'Ocean Herald', KY39 outside harbour, Pittenweem. She was built in 1954 by Smith & Hutton boatbuilders, Anstruther, for the McBain brothers, who had her till the mid 1970s. She was later sold to the Isle of Man.

It is likely this photograph was taken in the late 1960s owing to her modernisation. The level of the buoy in the background indicates this was high-tide. Her low bearing in the water indicates she had had a successful fishing trip.
