Ringnetter 'Stella Maris', CN158, in harbour, Campbeltown, c.1948-1950.

‘Stella Maris’ CN158 was built at Fairlie Yacht Slip in 1948 for the brothers Jim and Denis Meenan, Campbeltown. Her first skipper was their uncle, Jock Meenan, after whom Jim took over. In 1968, following Jim’s death, she was sold to Andy Harrison, Campbeltown, for trawling, and renamed ‘Girl Margaret’, (see 4358 for further information).

The inside boat is ‘Kittiwake’ CN94, built in 1930 by Walter Reekie, St Monans, requisitioned for naval service during the war and sold to Ireland in 1956, becoming B 596.
