Postcard of 'The House on the Rock, Pittenweem'.
Postcard of 'The House on the Rock, Pittenweem'. The house was divided into three at one time, with three different families residing. It is reputed that extension on the left sold for a shilling. Pictured in the foreground is the site of the West Harbour, which is where packet ships from Dundee, Arbroath and Edinburgh ferried passangers to/from in small boats. The slip has been filled in so boats could be hauled ashore. The poles in the immediate foreground were used for drying nets.
