The people are in costume on a film set for a BBC television drama called “The Shutter Falls”, which was shot in Portsoy. The plot follows a 19th Century photographer who travels to the North of Scotland to document the fishing industry, where he falls in love with one of the Gaelic-speaking fish gutting girls.
