James and Ruby Jackson lifeboat
Lifeboat James and Ruby Jackson, on the slip outside the lifeboat shed, Anstruther, spring 1965.

The man bending over could be Peter Murray who joined the crew as a launcher in 1961.

‘James and Ruby Jackson’ was a Liverpool-Class 35 Foot 6" x 10 8'w twin-screw motor lifeboat. She served at Anstruther from 1950 to 1965 (continuing to 1968 as relief lifeboat to ‘The Doctors’) and was launched 63 times saving 45 lives.
