The 'Ross Renown', GY666, had returned from an arctic fishing trip. She was the flagship of the Ross group''s Grimsby fishing fleet and, at the time this image was taken, was of up-to-date design with powerful diesel engines, modern navigational aids, and comfortable crew accomodation. She was bunkered and lubricated throughout by ESSO.
