'Royal Sovereign' KY75, Cellardyke, 1936
Preparations for the launch of the 'Royal Sovereign' KY75, Cellardyke, 1936

Built by the East Fife Boat Building Company. Boatbuilder George Forbes, ex-Sandhaven, was brought to Cellardyke by Provost William Carstairs to build the 'Royal Sovereign' KY75, in 1936 as a replacement for the 'Gleanaway' KY40, the first successful motor drifter. The yard closed in 1938 due to lack of orders and Forbes relocated to Peterhead.
