'Erica', BA73, entering harbour in rough weather, Girvan.
‘Erica’ BA73 of Girvan was built in 1958 by J. N. Miller & Sons, St Monans, and was evidently the last ring-netter from that yard. Her skipper was Campbell McCreath. Unusually in a ring-netter, the cabin was aft. She was bought in 1978 by Jim Campbell, Carradale, who retained the name and registered her CN179, and was decommissioned in 1994. The photograph, taken at Port Crannaig, Carradale, post-dates the end of ring-netting in the Clyde.
