'Sharon Rose' PD182
Description
'Sharon Rose' (Yard No: 949) was built by James N Miller & Sons Ltd at their St Monans yard, in 1968. She was a wooden seiner with a length of 17.37m, a beam of 5.58m and a depth of 1.92m and was 35grt. As built she was fitted with a 230bhp Gardner 8L3B diesel. Her first owners were George C Moodie & Others of Port Seton. She was originally registered at Leith as 'Sharon Rose' LH102. In 1977, she was sold to John Strachan & Others of Cruden Bay. She then became 'Sharon Rose' PD182. In 1979, she was owned by John Strachan of Cruden Bay & John Brown & Son Ltd of Aberdeen. In 1986, she was sold to Murdo MacDonald & John A. MacDonald of Tolsta, Isle of Lewis. She then became 'Sharon Rose' SY182. In 1990, her engine was replaced with a 250bhp Gardner diesel. Her gross tonnage was increased at this time to 55 tons. In 1993, she was sold to an M Morrison of Uig, Isle of Skye. Her fishing registration was cancelled in 1994. She was scrapped in 1996.
