'Challenger II' PD212 at Peterhead
'Challenger II' PD212 (Yard No: 37) was built by the Cambeltown Shipyard Ltd at Cambeltown and launched on 29th October 1977. She was a steel vessel with a length of 24.14m, a beam of 7.22m and a draft of 3.11m and was 86grt. As built she was fitted with a 600bhp Mirrlees Blackstone ESLMGR DIESEL. Her first owners were Andrew Strachan & Walter Innes of Peterhead. In 1988, she was sold to Peter Buchan of Peterhead. She then became Fertile PD353. In 1994, she became Helenus FR421, after being sold to Ian Peck of Fraserburgh. In 1996, she was owned by Kevin West of Fraserburgh and the Don Fishing Co Ltd of Peterhead. She then became Ryanwood FR421. She was decommissioned in 2002 and then scrapped at Esbjerg, Denmark in March 2002. IMO: 7631066.
