'Ulysses II' PD76
The launch of 'Ulysses II' PD76 from the yard of James N Miller & Sons of St Monans, Fife in 1988.
'Ulysses II' PD76 was built of steel for Charles Buchan of Peterhead. As built, she was fitted with an 850bhp 5 cylinder Alpha diesel. She was 90 gross registered tons. She had a length of 24.38 m, a beam of 7.39m and a draft of 3.11m. In 1999, she was re-engined with a MAN B&W ALPHA 850BHP DIESEL. In 2002, she was sold to the Shalimar Fishing co Ltd of Peterhead. She then became 'Shalimar II' PD303. In 2020, her engine was replaced by a 574bhp Baudouin diesel. In 2023, she continued to fish from Peterhead as 'Shalimar II' PD303. Her IMO number is 8713005.
