Steam drifter/liner ‘Pilot Star’ was built for the Admiralty as HMD ‘Drizzle’ (number 4150) by John Chambers Ltd. of Oulton Broad, Lowestoft in 1919.

Having been transferred to the Fishery Board for Scotland for disposal, she fished briefly as LH290 in Edinburgh (1921-22) and LT1060 back in Lowestoft (1923 – 24) where she was first named ‘Pilot Star’. She was owned from 1925 - 1945 by David Smith of Cellardyke and others, and registered KY48.

On returning from War service in 1945, she again moved north becoming FR106, and finally PD200 before being broken up in 1953.
