Glen Farg A760
Trawler 'Glen Farg', A760 in Aberdeen, 1980.
Her Hull was built by Tees Marine Services in Middlesbrough (Yard no; 284). She was then completed in by John Lewis & Sons of Aberdeen in 1977.
She was then fitted out by Smith & Hutton at Anstruther. After this, she entered service for J Marr Ltd at Aberdeen.
Her length was 85ft 6in and her beam was 22ft 3in. Her gross tonnage was 115 tons. She was powered by a 600bhp Mirrlees Blackstone ETSL6MGR diesel.
In 1982, the vessel was sold and renamed Vernal PD 72. In 1989, she became Vernal PD301, then Shearwater PD301, then Shearwater BF89.
In 1997, she became Shearwater II G221.
In 2003, she caught fire and sank, 90 miles West of Achill Island, Southern Ireland. All her crew were rescued.
