Rev John Matthews of Cellardyke Church looks on while Sea Queen Susan Cathcart is crowned by Mrs Mary Paterson, wife of Reverend George Paterson.

The Queen is flanked by her attendants, left to right: Pauline Boyter, Mary Morris, Amanda Mackie and Caroline Anderson. The herald in orange and purple on the right is Bill MacDonald. The children were all selected to take part from P7 at Cellardyke Primary School by Miss Reekie.
