Glenelg BCK272
Trawler 'Glenelg', BCK272 in Aberdeen, 1981. Built by John Lewis & Sons of Aberdeen (Yard no: 371), for Bruce’s Stores Ltd of Aberdeen, as Glenelg A696. She was launched early in 1972 and completed in March 1972.
Her length was 79ft 5in and her beam was 21ft 7in. She was 117 gross tons. She was powered by a 600bhp Mirrlees Blackstone ETSL6MGR diesel.
Later in 1972, she was sold to Samuel Farqhuar of Aberdeen. In 1980, still under the same owners, she became Glenelg BCK272.
In 1985, she was sold to Harold Valman of Essex. In 1987, she was sold to Flagperry Ltd of Milford Haven; she was then converted into a gill netter/longliner.
In this role, she continued to fish from and land catches at Milford Haven. She was scrapped in 2003.
