During the final stages of hauling a ring-net on ‘Aliped IV’ BA214, her neighbour-boat, ‘Aliped V’ BA238, with only her skipper on board, makes her approach. Her own crew will transfer back aboard her; she will lie alongside her neighbour, with the bag of the net between the two boats; the cork-rope on the bag will be lashed to her side and the operation of brailing out the catch can begin.
