‘Morea’ BA117 was built in 1932 by W. Weatherhead, Cockenzie, for M. Girvan of Girvan and skippered by Peter ‘Pat’ Stephen from Buchan, who had the ‘Margaret Stephen’ BA251 built in 1947.

‘Morea’s’ neighbour, ‘Aurora II’ BA252, was also a Weatherhead boat, built in 1933 for James McCreath, Girvan.
