'Lissa', aground on the May Island.
The 'Lissa' was a steam-powered cargo ship built in 1927 by Robert Duncan & Co, Port Glasgow for Glen & Co Ltd, Glasgow. Used for carrying general cargo, she ran aground on the May Island in the Firth of Forth.

She was successfully refloated and continued to operate until 21/09/1941 when she was torpedoed & sunk by U-boat U201, in about 47N - 22W, NNE of the Azores on passage from Barry for Lisbon with a cargo of coal. All 26 crew were lost.
