Postcard entitled 'Herring Boats, Eyemouth' showing herring fleet in the harbour.

To the left, Gunsgreen Houses. The front was used by fishermen to dry their nets. In 1906, 'Maggie James', BK146, was the pioneer in hauling as she had an oil engine fitted, known as a 'Gardner' engine. She and 'Vineyard', FR158, were the leading boats in the field of parafin engines in the UK.

'Vineyard', FR158 was later re-registered BCK339 then renamed 'Aster', LK297 in 1936, then later 'Hazelbank', LK297.
