Steam drifter on War Service, 1939-45
This was thought to be steam drifter 'Wilson Line' KY322 being used as a hospital ship during World War II. However, the name painted on the wheelhouse is 'Trustful'. Therefore, this could be the steam drifter 'Trustful' PD177 built in 1907 by Mackie & Thomson, Govan for William Leask, George Strachan & Ralph Reid, Peterhead.

'Trustful' was requisitioned for military service 1915-1919 on Admiralty Service (No.605) as a patrol vessel/net vessel and again, 12/1939-1/1946 on Admiralty service on harbour duties.

In the 1939 – 45 war, the roles of fishing boats expanded and steamers once again played an active part. Multiple men in Naval uniform are working on deck while fishermen on the neighbouring vessel look on.
