In the foreground is what appears to be a decked, clinker built Fifie. The boats on the beach are undecked and there are several sets of launching wheels lying on the shoreline.

On one house the roofing timbers are visible where slates have slipped. The house also appears to have a small barking house or boiler house built on at the front, with a tall, brick chimney.
