Atlantic wolffish
Wolffish in Peterhead fish market for sale, early 1980s.

The Atlantic Wolffish (so named for its powerful jaws and wolf-like sharp teeth) lives close to the seabed, in freezing waters, living on crustaceans, starfish and sea urchins. It is not targeted commercially but can be caught up accidentally in trawl nets.
